Katherine (Katie) Starr Serradell, 61, Connersville, died peacefully in Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton Ohio after a month stay in the ICU due to a serious auto crash.
A Memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church at 701 W 3rd St, Connersville, IN 47331 on Saturday January 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Norman Dew officiating. In this time of Covid-19 Face masks, hand sanitizing and social distancing at the service is by the family request or you can participate virtually.
She is survived by her beloved cat Midnight, two full brothers Albert Serradell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Ron Serradell of Duncan Oklahoma; half-brothers Gary Meek and wife Shawna of Medford, Ore., Mike Meek and wife Rosie of Medford, Terry Meek and wife Paulette of Broken Bow, Katie also left behind boyfriend Jerry Patty who spent most all month beside her in the ICU and a host of nieces, nephews and a host of friends and “adopted” nieces and nephews including Katheryn (Kay) Baker, Elizabeth (Bizzy) Baker and Fitzpatrick (Fitz) Baker of Indianapolis Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her most beloved cat, Buddy, her father, Louis Serradell, her mother, Doris Serradell, and an uncle, Joe Serradell.
Katie was a child at heart and loved stuffed animals and would spend hours shopping for her “adopted” grandchildren. Katie also was an animal lover and in her stay with Dan and Lynda Richardson helped increase the pet population from one dog and her two cats to two dogs and four cats, taking in strays.
The family requests memorials be replantable flowers, or monetary donation to the Shiners Children’s Hospital or a fund to assist supporting her younger brother, Ronald Serradell, who has MS, administered by Dan Richardson.
