John “Johnny” Dee Day, passed away on May 13th, 2021. He was born June 16th, 1974 in Richmond, Indiana, to John D. Day and Brenda K. Day.
Johnny was raised in Richmond. He had many jobs, but was self-employed most of his life. He had many family and friends. Everywhere he went he knew someone. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, cookouts, playing corn hole, fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys play. He was loved and will be missed by so many.
He is survived by his children: Brooke (Jordan) Scales, Abby Day and John “Bubba” Day all from Richmond; parents: Brenda Day and John Day of Richmond; granddaughter: Ava Scales of Richmond; sister: Shelly (Gary) Maiden of Richmond; brothers: Randy (Sue) Day, Larry (Kathy) Day and Daniel (Andrea) Day, all of Richmond; nieces: Britny Day, Kaytlyn Maiden, Lilly Day, Alexia Reece, Kara Mullins, Kelsey Mullins and Courtney Mullins; nephews: Randy Day, Larry Day, Josh Maiden, Nick Day, Gunner Mullins, Blake Mullins, Conner Mullins and Jason Walters; many great nephews and nieces; aunts: Joyce Allen, Deborah Day, Dianna Wheeler and Debbie Day; uncles: Dennis Day and Dennis Richardson; sister-in-laws: Sue Day and Kathy Day; brother-in-law Gary Maiden; and a host of other relatives and friends including a special friend, Gilbert “Punkie” Puckett.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Irene and Ed Wheeler and paternal grandparents: Robert “Butch” and Marie Day.

Calling hours will be held on Friday May 21, 2021 from 9 AM -1 PM at Community Family Funeral Home, with a service to follow at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Johnny Shepard officiating.
