John Galen “Bud” Bramhall, age 92, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, March 18, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born January 2, 1929, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Richard M. and Ima Stovall Bramhall, Bud lived in Richmond most of his life. He was a 1946 graduate of Fort Smith Arkansas High School and attended Earlham College. Bud served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1948 in Korea. He retired from Natco in 1989, where he worked as a design engineer for 36 years. Bud loved to play tennis in his younger years and turned to golf later in life. He also enjoyed attending auctions.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Marilyn A. Dowell Bramhall; daughter, Holly (Phillip) Paxton of Fishers, Indiana; niece, Laura (Joe) Bramhall-O’Mera of Glenview, Illinois; nephew, Robert Bramhall of Glenview; cousins, Cherie Stevenson and Kay Faulkner, both of Fort Smith; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert R. Bramhall.

The family would like to thank the following for the excellent care provided to Bud: Dr. James Hayes and his staff and the Reid Hospice team, including Dr. DeSantis, Julie, Alyssa, Greg, and Virginia.

Services for John Galen “Bud” Bramhall will be private and at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in the First English Lutheran Church Columbarium. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
