Jim Madden, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021. He was born July 5, 1954 to Judy Madden and Tom Haworth. Later he was adopted by Fred Madden and raised in Centerville, IN.
Jim was a 1972 graduate of Centerville High School. He was a proud veteran of the U S Marines and spent several years of service in Hawaii.
As a loving husband, father and grandfather, Jim was a spirited personality. He was known endearingly as “Papaw” to his grandchildren. He had a deep love for his family and touched the hearts and lives of many people. Jim had a passion for music; was a very talented musician with a gifted singing voice as well as playing guitar. He was a firm believer in science. Jim liked football and was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts.
In addition to his mother Judy Ashenfelter, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Madden.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Pat; sons, Gregory and Jason; stepchildren, Tina, Andy, Sarah and Beth; sisters, Jana Pehler, Lisa Higgs; brothers, Michael Madden and Rick Madden; and 17 grandchildren.
In honoring Jim’s wishes, there will not be a service.
