Jill Sue Hill, age 73, of Centerville, Indiana, died peacefully in her sleep at home, in the early morning of December 21, 2021.

Jill was born on December 9, 1948. A native of Wayne County, Indiana, she grew up in Fountain City, Indiana, graduated from Fountain City High School in 1967, and attended Ball State University. After supporting her family business for years, Jill retired from Hill Electric, Inc. in 2016. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, Elvis, and her beloved dogs, Serenity and Trooper. Everyone who knew Jill knows how much she loved her family and friends. With her husband, Jill enjoyed traveling and exploring casinos all over the country, where she had an uncanny ability to locate the lucky slots. Together, Steve and Jill were car enthusiasts and spent many enjoyable moments making friends and competing at car shows. A lover of all animals, she showed kindness and compassion for every animal that was fortunate enough to cross her path.

Jill leaves behind her loving husband of 51 years, Stephen Hill; daughters, Jennifer Hobson and Stephanie (Scott) Hill Alexander; and son-in-law, Rich Hobson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Madonna Ross Matherly.

Visitation for Jill Sue Hill will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Alvey officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
