Jerry D. Burdette, 50, of Centerville, died on November 30, 2021 as a result of a traffic accident.  He was born on May 26, 1971 in Richmond to John D. and Ruth Ann Burdette.  Jerry was a 1990 graduate of Centerville High School, where he was on the swimming and wrestling teams.   After graduation he enlisted in the US Army.  On June 28, 1997 he married Krista Moistner and they made their home in Centerville.  Jerry worked for Fraley & Schilling Trucking Co. for 17 years.  He enjoyed hunting, hiking, and riding his beloved Harley.  Most of all he loved being with his family, especially his granddaughters.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 24 years, Krista (Moistner) Burdette; daughters, Skylar (Joshua) Tate, Jessica Burdette and Madison Burdette; granddaughters, Adaline Tate and Audrie Burdette; his mother Ruth Ann Burdette; sister, Cheryl (Joel) Toney; brother John (Gloria) Burdette; nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, John D. Burdette.

Friends may call from 3 until the start of the funeral service at 5 pm on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel.  Interment will take place at a later date in Westside Cemetery in Milton.
