HAGERSTOWN- James Leo Robinson, 83, passed away at his home in rural Hagerstown Thursday morning, December 16th, 2021. James was born in Connersville, Indiana on April 15th, 1938, to the late James Boyd Robinson and Arlena Faye Higbie.

James grew up in the Milton community and attended Milton High School. After high school, James enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve and served six honorable years. At 20 years old, James met the love of his life, Janice Elaine Brandenburg, and were married on July 3rd, 1958, in Cambridge City at the Nazarene Church.

He was a 50-year member of Hagerstown American Legion Post 333. James retired after 36 years of service from Dana Corp as a Machine Operator. In his spare time, James enjoyed fishing, gardening, and birdwatching.

James is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janice Robinson; sons, Jeff (Susan) Robinson, Steve (Laura) Robinson, and Mike Robinson; grandchildren, Katrina and Johnny Robinson of England, Jacob Robinson of Hagerstown, Julie (Trey) Bowman of Hagerstown, Maritzia Robinson and Raymond Mesta of Las Vegas; six great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn (late Dale) Fink; and brother, David (Dee) Robinson.

James wished to be memorialized privately, cremation services have been entrusted to Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.
