Harlan C. Green, age 96 passed away December 31, 2020. He was born in Richmond on May 6, 1924 to Walter and Tina Green. Harlan served his country honorably in the US Army. After returning home he started his own roofing and sheet metal business and continued to serve his community by becoming a Fireman and ultimately the Fire Marshall. Upon retirement from the Fire Department, he worked for the city in the sanitation department until retiring and becoming a Minister. Harlan was a 50 plus year member of the Masons.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Linda (Richard) Helton and Gary (Elizabeth) Green; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to his parents Harlan is also preceded in death by his wife Ruth Marie Jordan; daughter Karen Sue Green; grandson Justin Green; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
