Gloria Weaver passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on August 3, 2021. She was born August 26, 1942, to Nathan H. and Bernice J. Spicer in Richmond, Indiana.
Gloria was a lifelong resident of Wayne County and a graduate of Richmond Community Schools. She married her sweetheart Arthur A. Weaver Sr. on June 28, 1962; Mr. Weaver passed December 21, 2015.
Gloria had worked at Reid Hospital, Richmond Plating, Woodruff’s Corporation and Richmond Community Schools.
In her spare time, her hobbies included skating and bowling. She enjoyed crocheting but her most enjoyable pastime was cooking for others, namely Doctors, Dentists, Therapists, Retail Store employees, Pharmacy workers, neighbors, and family and friends.
Gloria was baptized at an early age, under the leadership of Rev. F.W. Weathers.
Gloria leaves to cherish her memory, her son: Arthur A. Weaver Jr. (Eddie); grandchildren: Amber and Michael Cortez, Jovy K. Weaver, Evan B. Weaver (Taylor); great grandchildren: Zane Weaver and Eevee Weaver; siblings: James D. Spicer Sr. (Sharlene), Jacqueline Spicer, Cressida Retter (Pat), Deborah Mays and Darla Day; half-sister: Chavis Mays; beloved nieces and nephews; adopted sisters: Beverly Bratton, Margaret Ann Swan and Beth Lowe; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and four siblings: Sharon A. Williams, Robert Spicer, Doreen Spicer and Maria Spicer.

Funeral services will be held at Earlham Cemetery Mausoleum on Monday, August 9, 2021, at 12 Noon, with Rev. Dwayne D. Flood officiating.
