Glenda “Kay” Shook, 76, of Pershing, Indiana, passed away Saturday evening December 4th 2021 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in New Castle, Indiana. Kay was born on October 10th, 1945, to the late Robert and Helen (Lawson) Vandivier. Kay grew up in Milton and attended Milton High School. She resided in Cambridge City prior to moving to Pershing 50 years ago. Kay married her late husband, William “Bill” Dean Shook on February 1st, 1963 in Milton. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, being a loving mom and dedicated grandmother. Kay developed a precious friendship to her best friend, Lucille Denney, from cleaning houses together for over 40 years.

Survivors include her two children, Scott A. (Paula) Shook and Cynthia A. Shook; grandchildren, Betsy Slone, Holly (JR) Todish and Justin (Janice) Shook; great grandchildren, Robert Slone, Olivia, Jackson, Alaina and Jace Todish; three brothers; George Cameron, Roy (Cathy) and William (Linda) Vandivier; nieces and nephews. Kay was preceded in death by her husband Bill, on January 19, 2014.

Visitation will be at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 11a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m.. Pastor Doug Shilts will officiate. Burial will follow at Zion’s Lutheran Cemetery in Pershing, Indiana.
