Gladys Lucille Davidson, 77, of Greensboro passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at her home. She was born September 3, 1943 in What Cheer, IA to the late Charles and Margery (Elliott) Van Patten.

Gladys owned and operated Jay’s Little House in New Castle for many years. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, camping, gardening and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gladys was a member of Spiceland Pike Church of God.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Larry “LD” Davidson; 3 sons, Steven Davidson of Spiceland, Timothy Davidson of Greensboro and Anthony Davidson of Steubenville, OH; daughter-in-law, Christy Davidson of New Castle; grandchildren Lora Davidson (Terry Evans) and Will Davidson; great-grandchildren, Addylyn, Maya, Ashlee Evans and Luke Davidson; siblings, Martha Landers of What Cheer, IA, Charlene Hoffmaster of Fairfax, IA and Fred Van Patten of What Cheer, IA; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Davidson and sister, Merle Anne Williams.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2021 at Spiceland Pike Church of God with Pastors Keith Martin and Jerry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Hicksite Cemetery.
