Gary S. Reece, age 61, of Centerville, Indiana, passed from this life into eternal life Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Reid Health in Richmond.
Gary was born May 4, 1959, in Richmond, Indiana, the son of Harold Glenn and Alberta Jean Pigott Reece. He was a religious man, who believed wholeheartedly in the power of prayer, and an active member of Galilean Baptist Church in Centerville. Gary enjoyed spending time with his mom, Jean; brother, Jim; dog, Sophie; and friends, Pat, Bill, and Ronnie.
He leaves behind those who will truly miss him, his mother, Jean Lamb; sister, Terri Jean Reece-Gardner; brother-in-law, Kenneth James Gardner; a daughter and two sons; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; and church family.
He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, John L. Lamb; sisters, Sherri Jean Reece and Hope Sharon Morrow; two brothers; and stepsister, Esther Louise Sanders.
Visitation for Gary S. Reece will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Galilean Baptist Church, 204 South Morton Avenue, Centerville. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Galilean Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Cross and Pastor Jeff Coy officiating. Please plan to wear your own mask in the church. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville.
