Fabiola “Fabbie” Erlinda (Armijo) Bane, 81, of Richmond, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2021. She was born in Clovis, New Mexico to Jessie (Romero) Ortega on September 15, 1939, and was one of ten children. She married her beloved “Bobby” on January 19, 1957. They were married for sixty-four years.

Fabbie retired from Alcoa/Silgan after many years. She was also a homemaker and a self-taught seamstress. Many would agree she was amazingly talented in her craft.

She is survived by their children, Debbie Bane, Tony Bane, Sandy (Steve) Bane-Hawley, Lori Bane, and Kimm Huntington, twelve grandchildren, and twenty-six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Toni (Trinnie) Chavez, Virginia (Donald) Lucero, Hope (Mere´) Baca, Teresa (Eddie) Gomez, two brothers, Eddie Armijo, and Danny Armijo, her sister-in-law, Carol Jenkins, and many dear family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her husband Bob, her mother Jessie, three sisters, Ann, Gloria, and Lucy, and two infant great-granddaughters, Brylee and Mia. The love she had for her family was very special and unconditional. Together Bob and Fabbie were pillars of strength to their large and loving family. The family finds peace knowing they are together again after six months of being apart, and it had to have been a beautiful reunion between them.

Fabbie was devoted to her Catholic faith and was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church. She and her grandson, Desmond Bane, whom she and Bob raised, believed strongly in the positive impact their faith had in their lives. In lieu of flowers, her family asks if you are moved to do so, you make a donation to Seton Catholic School in her memory.

A mass and private celebration of life will take place at a later date. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family via the guest book at stegallberheideorr.com.
