Elbert Hale, age 95, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Randolph Nursing Home in Winchester, Indiana.
Elbert was born on July 5, 1926, in Irvine, Kentucky, to Elbert and Almettia Ferriell Hale. He served in the U.S. Army. Elbert was a member of Richmond Lodge No. 196, F. & A.M.
Survivors include his children, James Hale of Connersville, Indiana, and Melanie Koohns of Richmond; nine grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Alan Hale; parents; and seven siblings.
Graveside service for Elbert Hale will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Fairhaven Cemetery in Fairhaven, Ohio. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
