Douglas Edward Ogden, 63, of Williamsburg, IN passed away Thursday afternoon, September 16, 2021 at Reid Health and Hospital of Richmond, IN. He was born November 18, 1957, the son of Forrest Elmer and Betty Louise (Hollingsworth) Ogden. He was a 1976 graduate of Union High School of Modoc, IN.

Doug retired early in 2000 after 25 years as a cabinet maker with Kemper Cabinets of Richmond, IN. He enjoyed spending his leisure time turkey hunting, both spring and fall, deer hunting with a crossbow, fishing, camping and running his brace beagle. He was a member of Eastern Indiana Beagle Club.

Doug leaves to cherish his memory, a loving wife of 44 years, Peggy; a son, Chad Douglas Ogden (Cheryl) of Williamsburg, IN; a daughter, Robin Michele Ogden of Williamsburg, IN; three grandchildren, Danielle Michele Ogden (fiancé, Aladdin Michael Welch), Dawson Douglas Ogden and Kenzy Marie Ogden; a brother, Jerry Allen Ogden (Nancy) of Richmond, IN; sisters-in-law, Sandy Ogden, Janice (Jim) and Patty; brother-in-law, Arnold (Linda); close friends, Ty and Carrie Thompson, Dennis and Melissa Davis and Brian Anderson; his beloved canine companion, Cola. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles; and two infant sisters.

A service to celebrate Doug’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2021 at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, 3909 W. 950 S., Lynn, IN 47355 with Pastor Dave Bales officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery of Carlos, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 12:00 p.m. to service time on Monday, at the church.
