Born August 31, 1952, in Richmond, Indiana, to Orville and Juanita Jack Horner, David was a life-long resident of Richmond. He worked at Reid Hospital for 41 years, having retired in 2014. David was a member of Crosspoint Southern Baptist Church. He enjoyed sports, especially the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Browns, camping, and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Brenda Hildebrand Horner; daughter, Janell (Ashley Ramsey) Horner of Fountain City, Indiana; son, Chad (Jamie) Horner of Spring Hope, North Carolina; sister, Charlotte Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and three brothers.
Visitation for David O. Horner will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Conrades officiating. Please plan to wear your own mask in the funeral home. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
