David A. Feemster, 98, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at his home in Cambridge City.

He was born on June 21, 1923 in Crawfordsville, IN to Allison M. and Elizabeth (Iliff) Feemster.

David was a 1941 graduate of Lincoln High School and then attended Wabash College and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.  In 1943 he left college to serve in U. S. Army Air Corp in WWII.  After the war ended he enrolled at the Indiana University Law School in Bloomington and graduated in 1950.

Upon graduation he returned to Cambridge City and began practicing law at Feemster & Feemster.  The Feemster Law Firm was the only one in Wayne County involving three generations; Mr. Feemster, his grandfather, Alonzo R. Feemster and  his father, Allison “Max” Feemster.  David was a member and Past President of the Wayne County Bar Association.  He also was a long serving director of Wayne Bank & Trust.  David was a member of Zions Lutheran church in Pershing, IN and served on the church board.

His survivors include daughter, Deborah Gettinger and son, David Mark Feemster.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Allison, Matthew and Adam Gettinger; and his sister, ElizabethFeemster.

Calling was held on Thursday, August 26 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City.   Funeral services were held on Friday, August 27 at Zion’s Lutheran Church in Pershing, IN with Pastor Charles Miller officiating.  Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
