He was born November 6, 1927 in Michigan to Henry and Marie Marion.
A veteran of World War II and Korea, he served in both the United States Army and Navy.
Dale was a machine operator for Roots Blower for over thirty years.
In his leisure, he enjoyed working around the house, reading the newspaper, camping, and spending time with family.
Survivors include three children, Chuck Marion of Indianapolis, Jeff (Karin) Marion of Illinois, and Nancy Pierce of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Erin (Joel) Marion-Kerr, Alicia Chapman, and Austin (Makala) Pierce; and nine great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his two wives, Patricia Ann Powers Marion and Virginia Riebsomer Marion; and eight siblings.
Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Reverend Dr. Stephen Melton will officiate the service. Burial with military honors conducted by the Fayette County Veterans Council will follow at Dale Cemetery.
