Clayton Henson, 73, of Richmond, passed away April 7, 2021, at Golden Living Center-Golden Rule after a long illness. He was born November 6, 1947, in Clay County, Kentucky to Oakley and Virgie Downey Henson; he lived here since 1969.

He was a member of Straight Line Pike Pentecostal Church.

Clayton retired as an independent flooring installer.

He was an avid fisherman and bow hunter; he was a member of the Whitewater Valley Archery Club and the Whitewater Valley Bowmen.

He is survived by his two daughters Sabrina (Travis) Abney of Centerville, Sharon (Scott) Anderson of Liberty, six grandchildren Jacob (Haley) Abney, Trenton (Serena) Abney, Hannah Abney, Bethaney Abney, Lily Anderson, Clay Anderson, three great-grandchildren Wyatt Speers, Kendal Abney, Rylie Abney and one on the way; one brother and four sisters include Carolyn Mechling, Larry Henson, Joyce Prather, Joan (Mark) Prilaman, Tina (Carly) Gibbs, several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 41 years Pauline Jones Henson, one brother Gary Wayne Henson, and one sister Linda Henson.

Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, April 12, 2021, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Pastor John Shepherd officiating; burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
