Charles Kenny Drook, age 77, passed away on Thursday November 18, 2021, at Reid Health. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on August 9, 1944. His parents were William and Arbutis Faddis Drook. Kenny was an avid mushroom hunter, when hunting, he could see mushrooms long before anyone else had a chance, it was like he could smell them. He was a lifelong member and former president of the Wayne County Coon Hunters Club. Kenny worked at Hoffco for many years until his retirement, he enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Wanda; children Karla (Mike) Lopeman, Beth Drook Sekse, Debbie (Mark) Sekse, Kim (Bobby) Dunlap, Brian (Kristin) Drook; stepdaughter Rhonda (Brad) Parker; siblings David (Laura) Drook, Nancy Sailor, Robert Drook, Janet (Jeff) Prows, Gerald Cross, Shawn (Felicia) Cross; lifelong and childhood friend Dan Harris; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kenny is preceded in death by his parents William and Arbutis Drook; stepdaughter Debbie Petitt; siblings Joyce Ann Loudy, William Drook, John Drook, Tommy Drook, Phillip Drook, Shane Cross; son-in-law Mike Sekse.
Services for Kenny will be held on Tuesday November 23, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor David Eales will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in Earlham Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
