Carl Edward “Ed” Anderson, age 79, Richmond, passed away on Monday October 4, 2021 at Reid Health. He was born in Lagro, Indiana on September 13, 1942 to Louis and Mildred Cooper Anderson and lived in the Richmond area most of his life. Ed worked as a truck driver and was a retired employee of Nixon Tool Company. He loved motorcycles, was an amateur radio enthusiast, enjoyed gardening and loved all types of music.

Survivors include his wife Margaret “Sue” Anderson; children Doug (Jenny) of Cambridge City, Mike (Mary Beth Christensen) of Brownsburg and Derrick (Shawna) of Plainfield; 3 grandchildren: Ashley Keller, Brigham Anderson and Colin Anderson; 3 great grandchildren, 4 sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sisters.

Services for Ed will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday October 7, 2021 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Paul Gearhardt will officiate. Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery in Centerville.
