Billy J. Harrison, age 86, of Centerville, Indiana, died Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Reid Health.
Born June 16, 1935, in Hawkins County, Tennessee, to Rome and Clyde Harrison, Billy moved to Centerville in 1939. He served in the U.S. Army. Billy retired from UPS, where he was a delivery driver for 36 years. While working for UPS, Billy received honors for having a safe driving record for 33 years. He was a former member of Teamsters Local 710. Billy was also a member of Centerville Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Nancy Rupe Harrison; sons, Michael Harrison and wife, Sharon Harmon, of Garland, Texas, and Jeffrey Harrison and wife, Robin, of Vernonia, Oregon; granddaughters, Sara Harrison-Spradlin of Peru, Indiana, and Jade Rylie Parks of Chicago, Illinois; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Jane Reagan and husband, Ron, of Omaha, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Billy J. Harrison will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Logan Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
