Betty Louise Ford, 95, of Connersville, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

She was born January 14, 1926 in Connersville, one of four children of Clifford “Tom” and Vera Long Ayers. She was a 1944 graduate of Connersville High School where she was a member of the high school orchestra.

On July 27, 1946, Betty was married in Connersville to Kenneth Dale Ford. Mr. Ford passed away June 22, 2008.

Betty moved to be near her family in Albuquerque, New Mexico and later to Oxford, Ohio.

She was a devoted member of Central Christian Church and was also a member of the Culture Club and Tri Kappa Sorority. An avid bridge card player, she enjoyed engaging in several bridge clubs. Along with her husband, she was a member of the Connersville Country Club.

While her daughters were in Girl Scouts, Betty served as Girl Scout leader.

She was a devoted mother and homemaker. In her later years, she loved “doting” on her grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending family activities.

Survivors include three children, Beth (Steven) Chase of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Charles (Tami) Ford of Oxford, Ohio and Ellen (Jack) McCune of Oxford, Ohio; grandchildren, Alexandra Chase of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Amanda Chase and James Blaine of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Duncan (Jessica) Ford of Brooklyn, New York, Evan Ford of Oxford, Ohio, Nate (Beth) McCune of Muncie, Indiana, and Casey McCune and Drew Dorsey of Bloomington, Indiana; two great-grandchildren, Silas Ford and Oscar Ford of Brooklyn, New York; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Dale Ford, three sisters also preceded her in death.

Friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Dale Cemetery. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
