Barbara Sanders, 83, Cambridge City, passed away Friday afternoon September 24, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Cambridge City, Indiana.  A daughter of the late Robert Leo and Irene (Ewing) Radcliffe, Barbara was born in Beaver Township, Pulaski County, Indiana on February 6, 1938.  Barbara grew up in Francesville and graduated from high school there in 1955.  She also attended nursing school.  In May of 1956, Barbara married the late Lewis Sanders in Francesville.  Lewis and Barbara enjoyed dancing and competing in dance competitions.  They were very good at the “Jitterbug”.   She lived in Virginia prior to moving to Cambridge City four years ago. Barbara operated Barb’s Country Crafts in Wolcott, Indiana for several years and enjoyed crocheting.  She was an avid reader, especially history books, and enjoyed the company of her dog, Oscar.

Survivors include 3 children, Roxanne Eckart of Cambridge City, Laurene Sanders-Creekbaum of Columbus, OH and Vincent L. (Carmen) Sanders of Pershing; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Barry and Michael Radcliffe.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband on September 17, 2006; daughter, Lisa JoAnne Sanders on October 26, 2016; son in-law, Mike Eckart on April 8, 2021; 3 siblings, Lee Radcliffe, Robert Radcliffe Jr. and Diane Clevenger.
