Ann Bernzott, 85, passed away surrounded by her loving family at her home in Connersville on Monday, December 6, 2021.
One of four children of Joseph and Martha Villing Middendorf, Ann was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 14, 1936. A nurse, Ann was employed at Good Samaratan Hospital in Cincinnati and later at Fayette Memorial Hospital in Connersville.
On November 16, 1957, Ann married Dr. John R. ‘Jack’ Bernzott in Cincinnati. Dr. Bernzott passed away on July 21, 2015.
Ann was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church and was instrumental in St. Vincent DePaul Society. She was also an active member of the Connersville Country Club and in her leisure time enjoyed playing golf, painting, gardening, reading, and bird watching.
Survivors include six children, Becky (Doug) Fischesser of Connersville, Dr. Cheri Schiano of Woodbury, Connecticut, Dr. Jay (Cindy) Bernzott of Connersville, Pam (Joel) Copeland of Columbus, Ohio, Beth (Tim) Schnelle of Connersville, and Chris Bernzott of Colorado; fourteen grandchildren, Leslie (John) French, Katie (Todd) Babington, Danny Fischesser, Ben (Allyson) Schiano, Connie Schiano, Julia Schiano, Sara (Dave) Spotanski, Andrew (Linsey) Bernzott, Michael Schnelle, Missy (Cameron) Dick, Joseph Copeland, Sam Copeland, Zoe (Kaileb) Legge, and Anna (Josh) Bartholomew; ten great-grandchildren, Barrett Bartholomew, Ari Bartholomew, Connell Bartholomew, Olivia Grace French, Calvin James Spotanski, Emma Schiano, Abby Schiano, Ezekiel Legge, Liberty Legge, and Walker Legge; a brother-in-law, Dr. Rangit Rath of Cincinnati; a sister-in-law, Bette Zimmerman of Cincinnati; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her husband of 57 years, Dr. Jack Bernzott, Ann was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Jack Middendorf, Joe Middendorf, and Mary Rath.
Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church followed by visitation until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Reverend Dustin Boehm at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
