Amanda Schoettmer, 39, of New Castle went home to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, September 26, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born August 28, 1982 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of the late James Louis Shepard and Charlotte (Dock) Huffman.
Amanda was a loving mother to her three children and a loving devoted wife. She enjoyed going to church and yard sales. Above all, Amanda loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her loving husband Bob Schoettmer; three children, Hunter, Cheyenne and Lance Schoettmer, all at home; sisters, Theresa (Dennis) Haskett and Charity Neal; brothers, Joey Huffman (Stephanie), Freddy Shepard and Johnny Shepard; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Wynonna and Clifford Dock; and several aunts & uncles.
Services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Stephen Peyton officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
