Albert “Duane” Strunk, 72 of Connersville passed away on December 3, 2021. He was born on December 15, 1948 in Pineville, Kentucky to Louis Strunk and Georgia Hazlett Strunk.

Duane graduated from Richmond High School in 1967, after he graduated, he enlisted in the United States Navy for 2 years. He later attended Purdue University where he obtained an associate degree in Business and Supervising.

On November 1, 1986 in Jellico, Tennessee he married Penny Marshall.

Duane had attended Logan Creek Pentecostal Church in West Harrison, Indiana.

He was a member of various clubs such as the Amvets, the Moose, American Legion and a proud member of the NRA.

After 34 years of service, he retired from Visteon where he held several supervisor positions.

Duane enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends. He loved shooting pool, playing euchre, playing corn hole, and bowling. He also liked to read and write and watch TV especially when Jeopardy was on. Duane enjoyed getting in the car and traveling, listening to music, singing, and dancing. You could also find him outdoors in the yard and riding on a quad. Duane had a great love for his family and would brag about them to anyone he would meet.

Along with his wife of 35 years, he will be greatly missed by his children, Shawn (Pam) Strunk, Chad (Jenny) Strunk, Jennifer Strunk, Robert (Shantel) Ball, Rodney Ball, Brandon (Amy) Strunk, Amanda (Brian) Howe and Shae Strunk; brothers, Teddy (Ruth) Strunk and Buddy (Rose) Strunk; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dwight Strunk.

Visitation for Duane will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Blooming Grove Family Worship Center, 15001 Stone Church Rd., Brookville, Indiana 47012. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Tom Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Lick Creek Cemetery where Military Rites will be conducted by the Fayette County Veterans Council.
