William Park Ulerich of Columbus, Indiana passed away on Saturday November 14, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. William, better known as Bill was born on April 23, 1951 to his parents, the late Lois N. (Hicks) and Harry Dwight Ulerich. Growing up on the family farm, he helped his father in the field quite often. Bill in his youth played little league baseball, belonged to 4-H and Cub Scouts, and played high school football. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969. He loved to fish his whole life long and belonged to the Rolling Hills Bass club. His favorite indoor sport was to play Euchre with his family. He was a member of Milton Christian Church and was baptized at the same time with his father, sister and cousin. Bill was a well rounded person, well liked by everyone, always “the life of the party” wherever he was and with whomever. Bill was a heating and air conditioning technician until retirement, lending a helping hand to all who called upon him for his expert workmanship.

Bill leaves behind his wife, Julie (Schmidt) Ulerich of 38 years of marriage. Their son, Craig (Ondrea) Ulerich and their daughter, Stephanie (Josh) Roberts. Bill’s former wife, Anne (Norvell) Kuehl and their daughter, the late Elizabeth A. Ulerich, who passed away February 20, 2020 and their son, Scott (Lisa) Ulerich of Sioux Falls, SD. Bill loved his four children and loved playing with his eight grandchildren, Conner Ulerich and Casey Church of Sioux City, Iowa, Devalyn, Strader and Aleyah Ulerich of Sioux Falls, SD, Isaiah Ulerich of Columbus, IN and Madison and Jenson Roberts of Franklin, IN. Other survivors are his sister, Barbara (Woody) Duffin of Milton, IN and his brother, Michael (Linda) Ulerich of Carmel, IN, nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Due to the Covid pandemic, private family only visitation was held at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel and then graveside services and burial, with Scott Moistner officiating, were held on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Zion’s Lutheran Cemetery.
