Steven Earl Schraub, 57, of Middletown, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born in Middletown on September 25, 1962 to parents, Henry and Gladys J. (Hawkins) Schraub.
Steven graduated from Preble Shawnee High School and then attended Miami University. He was an avid photographer and co-owner of Horizon Photography Studio from 1984 – 1993. He had worked for the U.S. Department of Energy at the Mound Laboratories from 1992 – 2006 and currently had been a Carpenter Specialist in the Multi Trades Shop at Miami University Oxford, Ohio for the past 12 years. Steven was an actor with D. Lynn Meyers Casting and appeared in over 20 films. He loved film and all things involved with acting. He took great pride in his work along side many of the great actors of our time, earning the nickname “Mr. Hollywood”. Steven was a very caring and genuine person with a huge heart and infectious smile, who would help anyone when they needed it. He loved working on his parents’ farm, enjoyed traveling, listening to music and he was a great storyteller. Steven was a devoted family man, was very proud of his sons and greatly enjoyed being “Papa” to his pride and joy, little buddy, Jackson.
Steven is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 33 years, Norma (Bradshaw) Schraub; sons, Jacob (Katie) Schraub & Nick Schraub; grandson, Jackson Schraub; mother, Gladys J. (Hawkins) Schraub; brother, Terry (Sandi) Schraub; as well as many other loving family members & friends. He will be dearly missed by all of his family & friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Schraub; and niece, Jill Taylor.
Private services will be held for the family with burial at Fairmound Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
