Stanley L. Sparks, age 74, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Reid Health.

Born January 20, 1946, in Vonore, Tennessee, to Fred and Elsie Duncan Sparks, Stanley lived in Richmond most of his life, but was proud to have been born and raised in Tennessee. He retired from the Richmond Baking Company in 2003, after 36 years of service. Stanley enjoyed watching Tennessee Vols football. He loved his family dearly and was very proud of their accomplishments.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Jennefer Purcell Sparks; daughters, Jessica Sparks, Julie Sparks, and Tracy (Ralph) Reynolds, all of Richmond; grandchildren, Dustin, Chase, Taylor, Miranda, Julian, Will, Jude, and Jacey; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Jack, Mallie, Anthony, and Khalia; brothers, Tom Sparks and Grover David Sparks; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, whom he loved.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Allen; great-grandson; parents; and sisters, Bobbie Green and Louise Cooper.

Visitation for Stanley L. Sparks will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2020, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, with Chaplain Rick Alvey officiating. Please plan to wear your own mask in the funeral home. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
