Roger Dwight Swejkar, 63, passed away Sunday morning December 20, 2020 at I.U. Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. He had been in failing health. A son of the late Richard Dwight and Vena (Gregory) Swejkar, Roger was born in New Castle, Indiana on April 28, 1957. He was a 1976 graduate of Tri High School. Formerly of Richmond and New Castle, Roger has made his home in Muncie since 2015. He had been employed at Purina Mills in Richmond as a forklift operator and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in New Castle and the Moose Lodge. In his leisure, Roger enjoyed tinkering with things to try and make them useful again and taking drives.

Survivors include his son, Skylar Dwight Swejkar (fiancee’ Michelle Osborn) of Muncie; 2 siblings, Gary Wayne (Teresa) Swejkar of Centerville and Teresa Lynn (Tim) Pickett of New Castle; 2 step-daughters, Rachel and Roberta Bridgeman and their mother, Laura Tapley; 2 step-granddaughters, Kinsey and Omari Bridgeman; several nieces, nephews, cousins and his feline companions.

Roger was preceded in death by his father on June 27, 2018 and his mother on November 28, 2019.

Visitation will be Saturday December 26, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel. Private Funeral Services will follow. Reverends Charles Dugger and Tony Piper will officiate. Burial will be at Lewisville Cemetery.
