Preston Everett “Butch” Ferrell Jr., age 66, a New Castle resident, passed away Saturday January 25, 2020.
He was born May 9, 1953, in New Castle, IN, a son of the late Preston Everett and Lillian Vincent Ferrell.
He had lived in New Castle all of his life and attended New Castle schools.
Butch has worked as a lineman for electric companies, a painter and for the Ice House Tavern. He enjoyed time spent with his family and friends, fishing, mushroom hunting and gardening.
He is survived by Sarah A. Justice of Cambridge City, IN, Scott A. Thompson of New Castle, IN. 2 grandchildren Daiveon Johnson and Syniah Johnson both of Cambridge City, IN. 3 siblings Shirley Abbott (Whalen Les) of New Castle, IN, Charles Allen “Blackie” Ferrell of New Castle, IN and James Ferrell of New Castle, IN. Also several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandchild Devin Timmons and 3 siblings; Mary Coffey, Janet Lowe and Judy Ferrell.
Funeral services are 2:00pm Thursday January 30, 2020 at Macer-Hall Funeral & Cremation Services with visitation from 1:00pm-2:00pm at the funeral home. Minister Rev. Randy Perry. On-line condolences can be made at www.macerhall.com.
