Mary E. Asche, 96, a long time Hagerstown resident, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Randolph Nursing Home, Winchester.
She was born on December 7, 1924 in Butlerville, Indiana, to Fred and Ethel (Roane) Huelson, Mary, at age 19, moved to Hagerstown to get a job at Perfect Circle Corporation, where she retired after 35 years of service. Mary was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 73 years, James “Ted” Asche; one sister, Betty Huelson; one brother, Fred Huelson; and, grand-daughter, Deanna Delk.
Mary leaves to cherish her life two daughters, Deborah (Steve) Cox of Winchester, and Janice (James) Ridge of Modoc; 5 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, with burial at West Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hagerstown First United Methodist Church or to American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
