Marilyn “Pat” Bennett, 91, of Fountain City, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, July 20, at Arbor Trace

She was born Marilyn H. Branson in Richmond, Indiana on May 27, 1929 to Leslie W. & Arah Beatrice Armacost Branson. Pat attended Richmond High School. She married J.C. Bennett on January 26, 1946. They were blessed with a son and 52 years of marriage before J.C.’s death on November 27, 1998.

Pat was a homemaker and loved to play BINGO. She attended Fellowship Church in Richmond and was formerly active in the Northeastern Senior Center.

Pat will be missed by her son & daughter-in-law, Hal & Jane Bennett, granddaughters, Emily (Kipp) Hostetter and Holly (Mike) Garland; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Donna Branson and several nieces & nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her father, Leslie W. Branson; mother, Arah. Branson Hough, step-father, who raised her from an early age, Harold Hough; sisters, Evelyn Louise Wells and G. June Runyon; brother, Bob Branson.

A graveside ceremony will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 22 in Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City.
