Margie Louise Harper, 79, Richmond, was born on August 22, 1941, in Morgan County, Kentucky, to Elbert Taulbee and Ruth Havens Taulbee. She was a life-long resident of Centerville/Richmond, Indiana, areas and went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2020, due to secondary infection caused by COVID. She passed at Reid Hospital surrounded by close family.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Ruth, and two sisters: Diane Taulbee Johnson and Lurlene Taulbee Ratliff. She is also preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Vanessa June Benham, 11-18-2019.
Louise is survived by her husband, James Junior Harper of Richmond; two daughters: Donna June Carter (Keith) and Rhonda Jean Steele (Tony); three grandsons: Joshua Bryan Carter (Chelsea), Justin Keith Carter and Jacob Anthony Steele (Rae) all of Centerville; two granddaughters: Jessica Hope Benham (Corwin) of Greenwood, IN and Jacquelynn Faith Steele of Centerville. She has seven great grandchildren and one on the way, making eight. Louise is also survived by two brothers of New Paris, Ohio; three sisters in Kentucky and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
Funeral services will be held at Community Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Brian Hamilton officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday two hours prior to the service. Masks and social distancing is required.
