Madonna Rose (Cole) Winchester, 70, of Fishers, formerly of New Castle and Muncie passed away unexpectedly on the evening of Wednesday, October 28, 2020.

She was born on July 27, 1950 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Lloyd L. and Mable T. (Gribbins) Cole.

One of Madonna’s passions in life was reading and writing. She wrote several children’s books and worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologist. She embraced the culinary arts, enabling her to travel and savor cuisines of the world. A constant destination traveled was Maui with her husband, Mike. Madonna enjoyed music and her animals, especially dogs and cats and was an avid sports fan. She was a member of the St. Bernard Foundation and The Pacific Whale Foundation. More recently, Madonna spent most of her time investing in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those cherishing her memory include her children: Steven Michael (wife: Tammy) Winchester of Muncie, Ashleih Sean (husband: Greg) Cauble of Fishers; and Aaron Blaine (husband: Jeremy Frodge) Winchester of Carmel, and niece Tanya Cole of New Castle; grandchildren, Megan (husband: Chad) Williams, Tiffany Winchester (fiancé: Nate Lees) , Sheriton Winchester, Tallinna Rucker, Phillip Rucker, Mariah Bertram, Kayden Wright, Baylee Cauble, Colton Cauble, Trenton Winchester and Beckett Winchester; great-grandchildren, McKinley, Piper, Phoebe, Corbin and Jax; a former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Waters; along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sammie Michael Winchester; granddaughter, Sara Winchester and brother, Jim Cole.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 5 – 8 pm, Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Sproles Family Funeral Home.
