Louise Jane (Miller) Jefferies went home to be with her Lord on December 12, 2020 at the age of 96.
Louise was born on August 21,1924 at Fayette Memorial Hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Connersville and attended Connersville High School. She worked at Heeb’s Restaurant and was later employed by American Central Kitchens for 16 Years. During that time, she contributed to the second World War effort from 1943 to 1945 when American Central shifted production to making airplanes in America’s time of need.
On May 1, 1947 Louise married Grover Jefferies of Richmond. They met while working at her father’s restaurant in Cambridge City. They were married for 43 years until his death in August 1990.
Louise was a member of First Baptist Church. More recently she attended Calvary Baptist Church and Harrisburg Union Church.
Louise was a beloved Daughter, Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great-Grandmother. She enjoyed car rides in the country and family gatherings. She was an avid reader, enjoying a book every night before bed.
Louise was blessed with a large, loving, and supportive family. She was preceded in death by her Parents Lloyd and Thelma Miller, her Husband Grover Jefferies, her Daughter Patty Jefferies, her brother Albert Miller and Granddaughter Christina Lane.
Louise is survived by five children. Jerry (Sherry) Plummer of Connersville, Larry (Susan) Plummer of Cambridge City, Terry (Shirley) Jefferies of Everton, James (Diane) Jefferies of Connersville, Michael (Melissa) Jefferies of Connersville and one niece Susan (Larey) Gibson of Connersville.
Louise is survived by seven grandchildren: Le (Andy) Loos of Franklin, Julie Madden (David Sherwood) of Alquina, Janet (James) Day of Milton, Jimmy Jefferies of Everton, Doug (Chrissy) Jefferies of Connersville, Tammy Savoy (Chad Worl) of Cambridge City and Jeremy (Kate) Plummer of Noblesville. Also, two young people she considered her Grandchildren: Zack Jackson and Kristen Allen.
Louise is survived by 25 Great-Grandchildren: Autumn, Andrea, Aaron, Brittney, Ricky, Dennie, Claire, Lilly, Jordan, Zack, Seth, Derrick, Coleman, Haley, Lindsey, Bree, Blake, Brooklyn, Brent, Briannah, Tori, Taylor, Ava, Landon, and Haddie. She is also survived by 17 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Louise had a large family who will always carry her in their hearts and celebrate the life they were blessed to share with her.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 A.M- 1:00 P.M Thursday December 17, 2020 until the time of service at 1:00 P.M on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Reverend Kim McHale will officiate. Burial will follow in Everton Cemetery.
