Larry W. Lawson, age 68, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, December 3, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born May 7, 1952, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to Stearl Junior and Mary Helen Samples Lawson, Larry lived in this community most of his life. He worked in the casket industry for over 35 years. Larry enjoyed bluegrass music, fishing, gardening, and working on cars. He was a kind and gentle soul, who never had a bad word to say. Larry loved his family dearly.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Carolyn “Suzi” Dalbey Lawson; daughters, Lisa (Catherine) Nakis-Thompson of Greenfield, Indiana, and Mandi Fox of Lynn, Indiana; grandchildren, Brittany (Nick), Jordan, Kalee (Steven), Sidney, Emily (Max), Matthew, Yiorgo, Charlotte, and William; great-grandchildren, Layla, Joseph, Braxtyn, and two on the way; sisters, Ann Palmer of Williamsburg, Indiana, and Abby (Paul) Harris of Richmond; special sister-in-law, Siddy; nieces; nephews; and many friends, including his dog, Kevin.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we regret to inform you that services for Larry W. Lawson will be private with Chaplain Jon Bennett officiating. The funeral service will be livestreamed at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2020, on the Doan & Mills website. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
