Kristopher W. Kollmeyer, age 58, a New Castle resident passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020. He was born July 2, 1962 in New Castle, Indiana, and was a life-long resident of New Castle.
Kris was a 1980 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School where he was a member of the Golf Team. He attended Franklin College for one year and then transferred to Ball State University where he graduated in 1984. While attending BSU, he served as the Golf Coach for the men’s team at Muncie Burris High School. Kris was a sports enthusiast and loved golf, Cincinnati Reds Baseball and the Indianapolis Colts Football, where he was a season ticket holder for many years. He enjoyed family activities, sharing time with his family and friends, traveling with his wife, Jenni, and cooking on the grill even if there was six inches of snow on the ground. Kris was a great father and was always supportive of his daughter’s endeavors.
He was co-owner of Raintree Sales and Marketing, formerly CMH and Associates for 36 years. Kris was a member of the New Castle Elks Lodge and the New Castle Eagles Lodge for 37 years.
Left to cherish his loving memory include his wife, Jenni York Kollmeyer, whom he married March 7, 2008; two daughters, Katie Kollmeyer and Abbey Kollmeyer; step-daughter, Kaycee Dobbs; mother and step-father, Julie and Gene Bundy; one sister, Stacey (Kit) Crane; one brother, Kurt (Dana) Kollmeyer; two nieces, Cara and Emily Crane
Kris was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Kollmeyer; maternal grandparents, Garvey and Bernice Benoit; paternal grandparents, George and Nettie Kollmeyer.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at First Baptist Church Family Life Center, 709 South Memorial Drive, New Castle with Reverend Jerry Ingalls officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m., until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
