Karen L. Jones, 78, of Centerville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 15, following a brief battle with COVID-19.
She was born Karen Louise Dunlap in Columbus, Ohio, on June 9, 1942. She married C. Dennis Jones on June 13, 1958. They were blessed with 5 children.
Karen attended Gateway Fellowship. She enjoyed watching old movies and reading. She loved to work in her gardens, cook, sew and quilt, and especially enjoyed sharing those talents with others.
Karen will be missed by her husband of 62 years, Dennis Jones; children, C. Douglas Jones & wife, Tammy, Christopher D. Jones & wife, Mary, Craig D. Jones & wife, Nan, Carla Bowen & husband, Tim, and Danni Jones. She also had 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and a beloved sister, Sue Marlow, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many life-long friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick & Virginia Dunlap and a brother-in-law, Chuck Marlow.
Karen’s family held a private service at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 20. Interment was in Crown Hill Cemetery in Centerville.
