Judy (Roy) Penticuff, 91, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at her home. She was born June 23, 1929 in New Castle to the late Elga Durham and Bannie Mabel (McBeath) Roy.
A strong believer in Jesus, she often witnessed to her family and others about the love of God. Judy had a kind, generous and joyful spirit. She was a gifted homemaker who enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, crocheting and knitting. Judy also liked playing guitar and singing and especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Debora Kay Brammer of New Castle; two sons, Robert Dean (Lori) Penticuff of Anderson and Patrick (Jacquelyn) Penticuff of New Castle; grandchildren, Eric Brammer, Leah (Justin) Combs, Daniel Penticuff, Rachel (Feildon) Hampton, John Robert, Jonathan, Joanna, Julianna, Jeremiah and Joseph Penticuff; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Allisyn Combs, Makenzie, Landen and Jackson Penticuff, Victoria Rose and Malin Sophia Hampton; granddaughter-in-law, Danyelle Tutrow and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Perry Penticuff in 2010; a brother, Kermit Lee Roy; and a sister, Phyllis Anne (Roy) Daniel.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Monday, December 28, 2020 at the funeral home. Due to Covid19 and the governor’s mandate, facial coverings will be required.
