Jack Melvin McCubbins, age 84, a New Castle resident, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana
He was born December 4, 1935 in New Castle, Indiana, a son of the late Courtland and Pauline Hawkins McCubbins.
Jack was an outstanding automobile mechanic his entire life and enjoyed family activities and spending time with his family and friends. He was a long-time member of the New Castle congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Left to cherish, his wife of 65 years, Phyllis Riggle McCubbins; daughter, Paula Hughes; sons, Kenneth McCubbins (wife, Sheila Bailey McCubbins), Michael McCubbins (wife, Kathy Morris McCubbins), Larry McCubbins (wife, Barb); grandchildren, Jennifer McCubbins Parks, Jamie McCubbins Norris, Kimberly McCubbins, Kerilyn McCubbins, Courtney McCubbins Pollitt, Christopher McCubbins (wife, Norma Kriner McCubbins), Brian McCubbins, Christina McCubbins, Michael McCubbins, Phillip McCubbins, Krissy McCubbins, Corey McCubbins, Gaby McCubbins, Andy McCubbins, Dominque McCubbins, Taylor McCubbins, Darci McCubbins, Blake McCubbins and Logan McCubbins. Also, several great-grandchildren; sister, Debbie; brother, Clyde; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Phillip McCubbins and several siblings.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Macer-Hall-Marcum & Moffitt Funeral Home, Broad Street Chapel with President Richard Webster officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2020, before services.
