George Perry Riall, 86, Dublin, passed away Thursday afternoon November 26, 2020 at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville, Indiana. A son of the late Arnold and Hazel (Bockover) Riall, George was born in Mt. Auburn, Indiana on July 9, 1934. He was a lifelong member of the Western Wayne community and a dedicated husband and father. After 43 years of service, he retired from Philco-Ford in Connersville where he operated a forklift and worked as a stock chaser. In his leisure, George enjoyed pitching horseshoes at the park and taking rides with his wife Carolyn on his Gold Wing motorcycle. George and the former Carolyn Sue Mann were married in Dublin on September 10, 1962.
Survivors include, 3 children, Julie (Chris) Claywell of New Castle, Brian (Jodi) Riall of Greenfield and Jennifer (Carl) Couch of Cambridge City; 5 grandchildren, Dustin Claywell, Cody Couch, Brandon McKinney, Kayla Yontz and Savvanna Riall.
George was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn on December 12, 2007; son Jeffrey Scott Riall on August 3, 2018; 6 siblings, toddler, Betty Jane Riall, Marie Tanner, Frances Smith, Robert, Joseph and Richard Riall.
As a reminder, the government mandate requires guests to wear masks when inside our building. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon on Friday December 4, 2020 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Private funeral services will be held with burial to follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.
