Elmer J. Davis, age 92, formerly of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, December 27, 2020, at Stafford Hospital.
Born April 17, 1928, in Ohio, to Elmer and Jenny Hieger Davis, Elmer lived in Richmond most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy. Elmer retired from Johns Manville, where he worked as an electrician.
Survivors include his son, Scott Davis; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Dale Davis.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Rosemary Deitemeyer Davis, who died in 1997; daughter, Sue Parrish; and parents.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we regret to inform you that services for Elmer J. Davis will be private. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery’s Veteran’s Field of Honor with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
