Earl Beatty, 91, of New Castle passed away November 30, 2020 at Henry Community Health. He was born December 4, 1928 in Albany, KY to the late Hettie Delk.
Earl has been a resident of the New Castle area since 1943. He had been employed by Irving Materials for 16 years and was self-employed as a truck driver. Earl was a member of the Eastern Indiana 4-Wheelers, where he enjoyed 4 wheeling and off-roading with friends. Earl enjoyed mechanical work and CB radios; his handle was “Red Dog”.
Earl is survived by his children, Geneva (Oscar) Overton of Lexington, KY, Yolonda (Patrick) Hoover of Las Vegas, NV, Dennis (Susan) Beatty of Selma; Michael and Joyce Ford; grandchildren, Kiley Ball, Travis (Amy) Overton, Carl Ryan (Krista) Overton, Ryan Curtis, Harley Makayla Beatty and Matthew Beatty; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, Earl was preceded in death by his step father, Oney Delk; wife of 71 years, Barbara Beatty; daughter, Brenda Elaine Ball; grandson, Brandon Duncan; brother, James Delk; sister, Edith Greene.
Services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, December 4, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00 pm Friday prior to the service. Due to the governor’s mandate and COVID-19, face coverings will be required.
