Constance “Connie” Anne Nutty, 71, of Connersville, passed away early Monday morning, September 7, 2020, at Franciscan Health of Indianapolis following a short illness.

She was born August 13, 1949 in Vienna, Austria, one of five children of Paul and Ingeborg (Hengl’) Honaker. She came to the United States with her family in 1950, where they made Connersville their home. She was a 1967 graduate of Connersville High School.

She married Frank A. Nutty in Connersville on July 10, 1981. Her husband, Frank, survives.
Connie was employed for Stant Manufacturing for 52 years, where she had the company titles of “Mom” and “Grandma”.

She was a past member of the Connersville Fire Fighter’s Auxiliary and U.A.W. Local #1119.

Connie was very devoted to her family and being “Grandma”. She was always happy to do whatever her grandchildren needed her to do. Her nickname was “Mrs. Claus” around the holidays because she loved Christmastime and giving. She always wanted to help others.

Along with her husband, she enjoyed shopping and attending casinos.

Survivors, other than her husband of 39 years, Frank A. Nutty, include a daughter, Terra (Dennis) Ritter of Monrovia, Indiana; her special grandchildren, Gabi Ritter, Griffin Ritter, Ian Ritter, and Lilah Ritter; two step-daughters, Rachel Philpot and Rebecca Nutty, both of Connersville; several step-grandchildren and a step-great grandchild; three siblings, Terry (Margie) Honaker of Connersville, Jeff (Joyce) Honaker of Mooresville, Indiana, and Sue (Dave) Pyle of Zionsville; a sister-in-law, Susann Honaker of Bertram, Texas; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ingeborg Honaker, and a brother, Mac Honaker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2020 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Pastor Mal Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Springersville Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s local Humane Society or the Salvation Army.
