Chester Lee Slavey, age 53, of New Castle, Indiana passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at IU Methodist Hospital after an accident at his place of employment. He was born October 23, 1967 in New Castle, a son of James and Vanessa Slavey.
Chester was a current employee of Foam Rubber Products. He enjoyed working on vehicles, listening to various types of music. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially, time with his father out in the garage and going fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Slavey, whom he married August 5, 2020; his parents, James and Vanessa Slavey; two sisters, Joanna Myers (Jamie) of Muncie, Indiana, Donna McKeighen (Jeff) of Losantville, Indiana; two daughters, Brandi Slavey (companion, Craig) of Rushville, Indiana and Kelli Slavey of New Castle; four grandchildren, Connor, Billy, David and Lexy Slavey; special friends, Caleb and Sydney Willis; three stepchildren, Samantha Poore of Georgia, Sarah Neeley of Muncie, and Christifer Williams of New Castle.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Theodore and Virginia Slavey; maternal grandparents, Midas and Idris Prince; uncles, Leamon Raines, Roscoe Slavey and Michael Prince.
