Carol S. Pendleton, age 79, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Reid Health.

Born January 23, 1941, in Manchester, Kentucky, to William and Zylphia Tipton Philpot, Carol moved to Richmond in 1966. She was a certified nursing assistant. Carol was a member of Cornerstone Church in New Castle, Indiana. She enjoyed fishing, quilting, crocheting, singing at church, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Ballenger, Patricia Bach, and Pam Rich, all of Richmond; sons, Carlo Hibbard Jr. of Benton, Arkansas, and Steve (Regina) Hibbard of North Port, Florida; stepdaughter, Debra (Cliff) Wilkinson of Hagerstown, Indiana; stepson, Ron Pendleton of Hagerstown; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Opal Cornett of Clay County, Kentucky, and Amy (Ed) Mills and Joyce Wicker, both of Seymour, Indiana; brother, Charles (Pat) Philpot of Oneida, Kentucky; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carlo Hibbard, Holliday Mullins, and Glen Pendleton; daughter, Linda Farmer; son, William “Dougie” Hibbard; stepdaughters, Yolanda Slusher and Melody Alford; granddaughters, Brandi Hibbard and Ginger Rich; and brothers, Hiram, George, and James Philpot.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we regret to inform you that services for Carol S. Pendleton will be private with Pastor Glen Harding officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
