Betty T. Ancira of Richmond left this world at the age of 100 on Thursday, December 17, 2020, to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Betty was born October 7, 1920, to Stephen Andrew and Elizabeth Necko Topley in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania.

She graduated from Ramsey High School in Mt. Pleasant in 1938. After high school, she worked for Robert Shaw during World War II. On November 17th, 1945 she married William (Bill) Ancira. They lived in Houston, Texas, but eventually moved to Richmond where she spent most of her life.

Betty was devoted to God and her faith throughout her life. She attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and served over the years as a Sacristan, Eucharistic Minister, and teaching Bible Study.

She was outgoing, very social, and enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing cards, dancing, and always caring for everyone around her. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her siblings Andrew, Sister Mary Mercedes, Stephan, Michael, Joseph, Dolores, and John.

Betty is survived by her daughter Maribeth Evans, her son Bill(Lisa) Ancira, her grandchildren Aaron Evans, Brittany Evans, Angela Nolin, Billy Ancira, and Trent Ancira, her great-grandchildren Preston, Jared, Destiny, Sierra, Alyssa, Tristan, and Haley, and her great-great-granddaughter Alieah. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including a special niece Mercie Topley Townsend, who was like a daughter to her. Betty will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at a later date. Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
