Thaddeus W. “Ted” Melerowicz, 69, of Cambridge City, Indiana, passed away on July 3, 2019. He was born in Germany on May 20, 1950. He lived most of his life in Detroit, Michigan, and moved to Indiana in 2005.
Ted was proud to have worked at Country Mark and he loved his co-workers and customers and was loved in return.
When it came to sports, he was a huge fan of the Detroit Lions, Red Wings and Tigers. Ted also enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing.
He is survived by his beloved son, Chad (Erin) Melerowicz; precious grandchildren, Jaylan, Andi, Kerry, and Nate; dearest sisters, Heddy Melerowicz Shreve, Stella Melerowicz Jaksa and Barbara Melerowicz; former wife, Kathy Wilson; a special friend, Michelle Hamilton; loving nieces & nephew, Janice (Klarman) and Jim Stempien, Steve (Diane) (Klarman) and Kurt Johnson, Michelle (Klarman) and John Kiefer; as well many great nieces, nephews and dear cousins.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Adam and Michalina (Kowalski); his granddaughter, Mercy Melerowicz and his brother, Jan.
Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, July 8, 2019, at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at First United Methodist Church of Connersville with the Rev. Frank Oakman officiating. A memorial service will be held in Detroit at a later date.
